The Beatles were a rock band from Liverpool formed in 1960. There were 4 members in the band: John Lennon (lead vocals), George Harrison (guitar), Paul McCartney (bass) & Ringo Starr (drums). Their music was mostly rock and roll and pop. They immediately gained popularity after the release of their first single "Love Me Do" in 1962. The four of them later came to be known as "The Fab Four". They have won 10 Grammy Awards and an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score. They are considered as the best-selling band of all time with approximately 600 million records sold worldwide.
