Daft Punk, formed in 1997 are a French electronic music duo consisting of musicians: Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo & Thomas Bangalter. They achieved immense popularity in the late 1990s and gained continuous success in the following years. They both wear ornate helmets and gloves to assume a robot like appearance. Their music is mostly comprised of funk, rock, techno and disco. They have won 6 Grammy awards, one for their live album Alive (2007) and 5 wins for their latest album Random Access Memories (2013).
